About Jeff

A Trusted Resource for Financial Institutions

Jeff Rendel, Certified Speaking Professional, knows financial services. With experience as a federal banking regulator, financial services executive, and Congressional lobbyist, he understands the balancing act of safety, soundness, sales, and strategy.

As President of Rising Above Enterprises, Jeff works with community financial institutions that want 10X-level outcomes: clarity of strategy, disciplined execution, and sustained performance across growth, profitability, leadership, and experience. His work is informed by rigorous research, long-horizon analysis, and disciplined application, bridging advanced study with real-world advisory practice. Each year, he addresses, advises, and facilitates for nearly 100 financial institutions and their system partners.

As a federal banking regulator with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Jeff examined a wide array of the nation’s banks and partnered with executive management teams at every level.

As a financial services executive, he oversaw the strategic operations of a community bank, directing corporate initiatives and helping guide the institution to record growth, market share, and financial performance.

As a chief lobbyist to Congress, Jeff represented financial institutions, serving as a primary resource to Members of Congress as they sought to understand the implications of legislation impacting financial services.

A highly sought-after and accomplished speaker, Jeff is a professional member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and has earned the NSA’s Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation. Fewer than two percent of speakers worldwide hold this credential.

Outside of his professional work, Jeff is an avid reader and aspiring ice hockey referee. He and his wife enjoy tending to their land and maintaining their respective loyalties to their college teams, making for a divided household from time to time. A daughter at university helps keep him young and, at least occasionally, cool.
